Stash-buster challenge crochet project# 8, woman's hat with a brim

Finished size measurements:  brim 2.5 " wide, 4.5" height from crown, 6"/15.5cm diammeter.  

Adult size: suit 19"-23" head circumference.  This hat will give lots of stretch due to the open layout, crossed stitches and v-stitches used.

With this hat, I have used up this variegated colour yarn, it took up 1 skein of it.

The hat's brim, I used a cream coloured yarn.

Crochet hook 4mm and 8 ply or DK yarns used.

Made a cluster circle top, then open mesh and v stitches for sides followed by single crochet for the brim. Quite a big and roomy hat.  Great for spring or autumn and maybe even winter in Perth.
