Crochet baby boy beanie pattern for 0-6 months

Here's another stash buster challenge in less than 3 hrs of crochet time.  Crochet baby boy beanie pattern for 0-6 months

Yarn
3ply (white) and 4ply (sky blue baby wonder) baby yarn
60% acrylic and 40% nylon

Crochet hook
2mm size

Stitches used:
V-stitch, shell stitch crossed treble crochet, chains, treble crochet, double crochet and picot edge (UK symbology used)

V-stitch:  tr, ch2/ch1, tr
Shell stitch:  2 tr, ch2, 2tr

Pattern is for newborn to 6 months.
Finished measurements:  18cm wide (7") x 14.5cm (5.5") height when laid flat.

foundation ring: 8 chains, ss to form ring

round 1:  ch3, then do 24 tr, ss to 3rd chain of starting ch 3
round 2:  ch3, *1 tr into each of next three tr stitches, ch2 **, repeat * to ** 7 times, until end, ss to 3rd ch of starting ch3.
round 3: ch 3, *2 tr, ch2, 2tr into next 2 ch space, then 2 ch ** of previous round. Repeat * to ** 7 times until end, ss to 3rd ch of starting ch3 after you complete the seventh shell, do not do ch 2 after the last tr of the seventh shell.
round 4:  repeat round 3, do 15 shell stitches in the 2 ch spaces of previous round.
round 5:  ch 3, *do v-stitch with a ch 2 space, i.e. tr, ch2, tr, into each ch 2 sp of previous round 4, 30 times, then ss to 3rd ch of starting ch3. There should be 30 v-stitches.
round 6: ch3, *do v-stitch with a ch 1 space, i.e. tr, ch1, tr, into each ch 2 sp of previous round 5, 30 times, then ss to 3rd ch of starting ch3.  There should be 30 v-stitches.
round 7 - 8: repeat round 6.  There should be 30 v-stitches.
round 9: ch3,  1 tr between each space of previous v stitches, to end this round, ss to 3rd ch of starting ch3.
round 10: ch 3, 1 tr into each tr st to last st, then ss to 3rd ch of starting ch 3.
round 11: change to blue colour yarn, repeat round 10 with new yarn colour.
round12: ch 3, 1tr into each st.
round13: ch3, do crossed tr stitches. *skip next st, 1 tr, 1tr into previous skipped st.** Repeat * to ** unto the end, then ss to 3rd ch of starting ch3. There should be 31 crossed tr this round.
round 14: repeat round 13
round 15: change colour back to white yarn. ch1, 1sc into first st, then 2 sc into next stitch. Repeat * to ** till the end, ss to ch 1 of starting chain.
round 16: do picot stitch edging. *ch4, ss back onto 1st ch, then 1 sc into next 4 st.  Repeat * to ** till the end,ss to ch1 of the starting picot stitch. Fasten off yarn.
